Speaking as girly number three, I'm pleased to meet both you, The Wife, and Nickynockynoonoo. I've just introduced myself too.

I do nearly all my designs by hand, in pencil (I would put in a link to my web site ... but I'm not allowed to yet, it seems ... you can just Google "Majjie" if you're interested).

I do use KitchenDraw too, though, if it's a fairly standard and simple plan. I don't think people mind if the sink and appliances don't look absolutely correct. If I remember rightly, though (you can tell I don't use it very often) once you've signed up, you can download some extra appliance and kitchen catalogues from the UK site. You have to buy the hours from the original French site.

I'd get familiar with KitchenDraw before you go on to buy either Planit or 20:20. You'll know better what questions to ask then. I've used both, in the past and preferred 20:20 ... but both will have moved on quite a bit since then (it was many moons ago). The best thing to do is get reps out from both companies to see you ... they'll be falling over themselves to get to you.
