White gloss

This one was a friends white vivo or lusso door can't remember. tops are quartz and ipenema grey duropal 60mm eye watering price for that 2x1m and a 1x1m.

After 10 plans and numerous alter this for me, this is what they went for, it was a kitchen and utility in the space you see. Had to remove the walls and support above. Divert internal drains in the floor, Joy.
Appliances neff from our resident design guru.
Talked her out of plinth lights.


Green walls painted by customer on acid, she went mad at husband, clever lad, he never got asked to paint again.


Was going to be extended out for a bigger room, to get a big island. No extension so this was the compromise.

Nice breakfast bar design with the matching ceiling box section .... must have taken a bit of planning getting the motor to miss the joists ??

Love it Prem...  I quite like the use of that colour on the walls.....and matching accessories on the worktop as well.

I'm in the middle of a job at the moment that's got a ceiling hood mounted in a dropped down section.

I quite like that.

Normally I hate box sections in the ceiling for an extractor but it's been done well to mirror the peninsular so it makes complete sense, visually nice and looks like it's meant to be. Even more so that the box section, worktop and splashbacks all tie in colour wise. Personally I think that's what makes the kitchen.

Unit layout is nice as is the thought behind the handle placement/orientation. Stuff that normally goes unnoticed on a conscious level by most visitors but still registers sub-consciously to tell them it's well thought out.

BUT!!!....

Painting is really poor, it ruins what is otherwise a nice kitchen. It's not the colour, that can look very effective, more it's execution is poor. Shame really.

Design wise I suppose I would have widened the island to around 800mm deep (the drawer units) and carried on the plinth line all around but understand that is pretty much a no go when you're limited to side/decor panel depth of 650mm with most UK suppliers.


As a side note...
When I first looked at the pics I thought that really is a nice colour of quartz and the gaining is lovely, then noticed you said it's duropal, then how expensive it is... why does the price jump so much? it's just a bit more of chipboard core??? I know it isn't a big seller but still, does it warrant the jump in price?????

I noticed the painting looked odd. Is it an acrylic paint or a paint with a sheen to it? It seems to show up every imperfection.

The ext motor position was the guide for the whole island.

The PAINTING he ruined the job with it, I told them so. She spent the next two days cutting in, trying to make it better. As bad as it is now it was a lot worse.
