Add on to old reception desk - Joe Laughlin - 29-04-2017 Finally finished this little job last night, disabled section added to an old curved reception desk with glass screens all round. RE: Add on to old reception desk - Bojangles - 02-05-2017 I think I would have had a few sleepless nights with that one, quite a lot could have went pear shaped. Did you have templates for all the glass pieces? Did you have templates for all the glass pieces?I templated the curved top, then cut 8mm curved mdf pieces on the cnc for the curved glass and made sure they were spot on with the curved templates. 3 site visits to make sure it was going to work. Worked out the straight glass on cad. Only part i was worried about was the glass that dropped down onto the disabled counter. Thankfully our workshop floor and the courts floor were level! Can I ask who fabricated the curved glass sections? RE: Add on to old reception desk - Joe Laughlin - 04-05-2017 We used a company called Intaglio from East Kilbride just outside Glasgow. First time we had used them. They are the only company doing curved glass in Scotland. Glass was spot on with my sizes. Prices were really good as well. http://www.intaglioglass.com/ RE: Add on to old reception desk - Bojangles - 04-05-2017 Thanks, never heard of them before but good to know as we're based in Hamilton |
