Good'ay! - John Surrey - 29-01-2017

I am John from Surrey, I am an old hand and have been installing for oh.. over 35 years now Arrgh . I remember when the first battery screwdrivers came out, great big heavy Makitas that made your hand hurt, what is known as repetitive strain injury these days.

I have fitted for the best and the worst, I cut my teeth with Moben after doing a an 18 month stretch with Tony, a kitchen fitter from Dorking. He liked the juice a bit too much and lost his driving licence so I drove him around so I got to learn from a master cabinet maker.

I work for a few top design studios mainly in London, a couple of designers and a few builders but mainly I install residential stuff and avoid sites like the plague although I have CIS, CSCS, 110v.

I still use all my old hand tools in the workshop but the VW is full of Festool now, a far cry from when I started with an old Mini with the back seats taken out that I used like a toolbox.

I like to work in different materials too, copper, silver and other metals although I really adore working in oak.

Anyhow, thanks for the add and I hope to chat to y'all later

John from Surrey
