Another newbie! - Tomyjoiner - 26-10-2016

Hi all, im Tomy been in the trade for 27 years s/e for the last 16. I have my own little workshop where i do bespoke work, 1 off doors or matching in old sash windows etc and not forgetting kitchens, i only do 4 or so a year but its nice work seeing it through from start to finish as you all know.
I Came across this froum searching for a different design package as i have been using kitchen draw for a while and am maybe looking for something the next step up like nexus? Anyway hope you guys will let me pick your brains every now and again and likewise. Thanks.

Nice to have you on board tomy.

I use Nexus and although the images aren't as good as the ones the articad guys show on here. The price and ease of use make it a no brained for me. The support is top notch too. Tony is a top bloke and will help you out even when he's out mid meal with his wife Smile

Welcome aboard Tomy...

As PJK said, Nexus is a good package for the one man band type of operation where a well presented set of renders will suffice. That's not to take anything away from Nexus as it's easily customisable and with a bit of tweaking you can't really get the best out of it.

I would advise hanging on a bit as they are imminently releasing an upgraded version to the existing software, and, I'm led to believe will have a lot more features installed.

Have a little look through the forum in the Nexus section as I have posted up a few designs, tips and ideas on there....it should give you a clearer idea of the possibilities....

Thanks PJK and Stretch, yes I've looked already, I've got a free demo to try but haven't had time to install it yet and missed their call. Probably wouldn't be looking at buying it until the new year anyway but its worth asking the question when i speak to them. Thanks for the input guys, much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum ThumbUp

Nexus has it's limitations graphics wise, but is fantastic value for money.  And like others have said, the support is fantastic, and Tony the director is a great bloke to deal with.
