Handmade Kitchen - Jayne Hiddleston - 26-10-2016

One of our recent projects, we are very happy with how this one turned out. Clints brief was "Kardashian Hollywood style" lots of white, minimalist colour palette but with ornate details such as the corbels. Can't take credit for this as I didn't design it , my boss did (before we had Articad on board so was all line drawings) but wanted to post to show everyone what our company does. Feedback welcome Smile

Wow... takes me back to my Davenport fitting days...
Impressive..  ThumbUp

With the large pilasters does the customer loose that space or are the cabs part of it?

RE: Handmade Kitchen - mister_mitch - 26-10-2016

looks great  ThumbUp

sinks and taps everywhere  HaHa  ;)

Very grand and has that khloe kardashian kitchen styling.

Are we allowed to play 'guess the price' ?

RE: Handmade Kitchen - Jayne Hiddleston - 26-10-2016

The large pilasters actually open on each side and have shelving in them - client loved the idea. being completely bespoke we quite often try and turn pilasters/end panels into useful storage. Yes, a few sinks. We weren't initially too convinced with it being so white but actually, it really works against the dark flooring and with the detail on the cabinetry, corbels etc, it doesn't look toooo minimalisitc or clinical.

You can probably understand my frustration that I cant customise more things on Articad now Daz!? Although If I could find the time to learn Sketchup I am sure that would benefit me greatly. Roll of this door/frame creator that was discussed last year......!

"The large pilasters actually open"
Oh yeah I can see the handles now..  ThumbUp

Customising... yes you need it... I often resort to TC to make things but Sketchup is really advanced now also...

"Roll of this door/frame creator that was discussed last year......!"

I wonder if this will ever be a reality Jayne?.... I have my doubts as they will loose a revenue stream from Door manufacturers to make their catalogues... I suppose it depends on how advanced they may make it...

Looks really nice. Not sure  I like the positioning of the handles but what do I know.

RE: Handmade Kitchen - Jayne Hiddleston - 26-10-2016

I actually agree Steve, they had the option to have a push opening but it was decided that as the doors are so big and are solid timber that the handles would work much better but I do think agree that they look a little bit odd on the end panels

RE: Handmade Kitchen - mister_mitch - 26-10-2016

I wonder if Steve was referring to the handles being on the center panel of the drawers? As that was something I noticed as a bit different.

RE: Handmade Kitchen - Fitter Steve - 26-10-2016

yeah more the actual position.  Must admit I dont normally like handles on the centre panel of drawers but it does work with some kitchens.  More the knob handles on the doors.  Little to low for my liking.

I should add Im not trying to pick fault. More saying it to see what others on here think. Ive got a lot to learn design wise so its always good to hear peoples thoughts.
