New Kitchen door - Evokit - 26-08-2016

Hi All

After a few months work and a few prototypes i have come up with this new door i designed with my bespoke manufacturers, so this is exclusive to Evo Kitchens.
Just woundered if any would like to use it also? not the least expensive but also different and in y eyes rather nice. Will be going into my own kitchen soon.

Painted Ply Lacquer – Available in any colour to suit your taste, Slab or handle cut outs or paired with our Trure Handleless range.
The exposed ply edge adds that little something different mixing texture and tones, giving a nice modern minimalistic look
while creating a warmer feel to the modern home.
Can also offer bespoke table tops , painted with 8mm glass topper including curved edges

It's a nice looking door ThumbUp

Did something similar in a bathroom 5 or 6 years ago. Melamine faced birch ply which we had a letter box style handle cut out but on the 45 degree so it showed the ply edge through the handle if that makes sense. Sounds simple and easy but it was anything but because the sides also tapered! Finished it with a deep red glass worktop. Looked stunning but I've lost the finished pictures :( I know they are on an old hard drive somewhere just not which one. Shame as it was probably the most expensive bathroom we've even done. Not much bigger than your average ensuite but topped £17k. Philippe Starck suite, Compac quartz tiles etc etc

Sorry I digress. Be really interested to see a fitted kitchen with these. Solid colour faced doors with ply edges is a very popular look and get asked for it on a semi regular basis but it's always been one off custom made units which then puts the price up, so if these are reasonable cost because you've got the manufacturing process set up then I'd be interested in getting some rough costs.

Nice one ThumbUp

Still in price stage at the mo
So will be a week or so due to manufacturing as paint bleed was something to overcome at 1st point.
they will be all cost effective the handle cut outs are priced per door but will have something soon on it all.
My kitchen wont be finshed for a while due to ex wife crippling me but i will post once done.
Its also a nice effect having the end panels show and with the handle rail system so the edges are visable.

Would you like an opinion from somsomeone who is completely battered on port?
