German Kitchen & Utility Room. - snezza - 26-03-2016 A few pictures of a recently finished Kitchen & Utility Room. Thanks to @JRB for his help on this one as he came darn sarf for a few days work to start on the Utility Room. The units are German, 780mm high base units with 100mm plinths, Diresco Divinity Ivory quartz worktops ( although they do look a bit Grey in the pictures) and Brazilian Bianca Eclipse granite on the Island. the Sink is a Double Bowl Ceramic undermount with double recessed drainers each side. Taps are by Blanco, dishwasher is Siemens, Hotpoint Integrated Fridge Drawer in the Island and Aga/Rangemaster Fridge in the Utility Room.......and the Aga Triple module.....!!!!!! They are a woodgrain effect tile. The doors on the seating side of the Island have Tip-On Blum openers on them. 450mm high Glass splashbacks were due to be fitted Thursday, but the fitters had not been when I popped in to take my photos. RE: German Kitchen & Utility Room. - snezza - 26-03-2016 Here's the Utility Room.... [attachment=2045] [attachment=2046] [attachment=2047] [attachment=2048] RE: German Kitchen & Utility Room. - Fitter Steve - 26-03-2016 Very nice Timothy RE: German Kitchen & Utility Room. - jonny round boy - 26-03-2016 I see they changed (or more likely, had you change?) the backs in the tall housings with the sockets in - I figured they would! I offered to cut them for back boxes, but was told in no uncertain terms they wanted holes in so they could plug into the sockets in the wall behind! Looks really good though RE: German Kitchen & Utility Room. - snezza - 26-03-2016 (26-03-2016, 06:17 PM)jonny round boy Wrote: I see they changed (or more likely, had you change?) the backs in the tall housings with the sockets in - I figured they would! I was told they weren't going to move those switches JRB, hence I told you to cut the holes....!! Never mind, I got there in the end. I never bothered with the pictures of the sink area in the utility room. RE: German Kitchen & Utility Room. - snezza - 27-03-2016 One thing that has sprung to mind when posting these pictures, my German supplier has swopped over to black Salice hinges on the doors with the built in soft close. They used to supply the Blum hinges until recently. My question is, does anyone know if it's possible to turn the soft close off on this hinge like you can on the Blum version....? I've had a good look at the Salice hinge and can't see a way of deactivating it. The soft close seems a bit stiffer than on the Blum version and it takes an eternity for the tall doors to close. RE: German Kitchen & Utility Room. - Colour Republic - 27-03-2016 Looks great Snezza Are they the new Salice sliding shelves in the utility? (ahh maybe not, looking closer is it just the spare shelves stacked up?) As for the hinges, I seem to remember something being said about those recently of was it you asking on the Dire Kris stand the other week? The gun metal of those hinges did look good but surprised they've gone for them on all units, thought they would have just done it on their darker coloured kitchens. Aga looks good and without a doubt the white hood was the right choice keeping it all sleek Nice colours throughout in fact as the worktops and flooring look like a good match and when the room is 'dressed' it should look fantastic... about the worktops actually, bet the drainer cost a fortune as not one but 2 recessed and grooved! RE: German Kitchen & Utility Room. - PREM - 27-03-2016 The first few pic's looked like one of Daz's renders, at first i thought it looked cold until the lights were turned on, which transformed it the pendants would have looked nice in a bold colour. Did you do the floor, very nice Underfloor heating? Big thumbs up mate. The client wanted to use the 2 tall units on the left to hang coats etc so I added the hanging rails and just left her the shelves should she wish to fit them lower down to store shoes on. The hinges do look good in Gun Metal finish, but they are a pain not being able to turn off the soft close. they are certainly stiffer than the Blum equivalent. Those drainers did indeed cost a fortune......!!!!!! Its the 2nd time I've had it done for client's and the stone guys did make a nice job of it on both occasions. Each drainer side was £450 + vat, plus the sink cutout.....!!!!!! |
