Wickes handless - PREM - 11-12-2015

This one was for a manager high up in Wickes, very nice couple. two rooms originally the wall was removed, steel in and plastered.
silestone tops, AEG appliances. We had trouble with the ind hob the rectangle shaded part would not get hot, its a french plate they don't get mad hot apparently.
Floor engineered oak, 2 wet plinth heaters and a massive wall rad.

Had an issue with the tops where the joints were done in a flexible filler instead of the hard compound mix. The local co said this how they do them, we will see how long it lasts. you can pull them up and down against each other, other than that it was a good job to do.

Looks nice mate..but I don't like the blue splash back. What's the idea behind that colour?

..... It's surely steel without the protective film removed no ?

Nope that's blue, see the matching wall paper in the last photo!

Think that's blue glass Dan, seems too glossy for film.

TBH as far as 'shed' kitchens go, I still think wickes/benchmarx are the best of the bunch quality wise. The kitchen looks nice.

In general the worktops look well fitted but flexible joints??? No not normal at all. I see the joint to the left of the sink (which could have been avoided any way as it doesn't look as though the peninsular is longer that 1400), but where is the other?

If they do felxible joints then it might explain why their silcone and caulking work is so neat! Or was that done by others?

What appliances are they BTW? AEG's new styling? If anything I think that's exactly like what the new Neffs should look like but don't.

I thought it was glass too but makes even more sense now with the 'future' wallpaper, not going to look out of place as first appears

Glass splash, it her favourite colour.
AEG newest range, she got the head of sales from aeg to give her a tutorial on the oven and hob that links to the extractor.

Oh ..... That's an odd choice of colour for the splash back !
