A recent one of ours - Stretch - 06-06-2015 Got this one through someone who joined KFF (and is still a member) looking for Crown Handless supply and fit. Kitchen is Crown Furore White with "Concrete Quartz" quartz worktops from www.granite4you.co.uk. Appliances mainly Neff with some others... Two weeks start to finish. Pulled down two layers of ceiling (one being lath and plaster) reboarded, skimmed, all electrics redone and flooring laid. Stayed in B&B next door to the job for the duration!! Before pics: Some of the Cad renders: And the finished job: RE: A recent one of ours - Colour Republic - 06-06-2015 That's a massive change! Like the colour scheme to as it's fairly classic and neutral The sink area worked out well and maybe even looks better because it's recessed and framed, could have looked odd otherwise because it's so close to the hob. Breakfast bar looks nice too, are the worktops Silestone cemento spa? One thing with the Crown, are the grip rails one piece the whole length or individual to each unit? There's got to be a BUT , although to be fair it's nothing with the kitchen. With wall mounted tv's I nearly always bury a 1 or 2 32mm waste pipes in the wall with a couple of elbows on the end, cut flush to the wall. This way cables can be dropped between TV and an AV equipment below. I used to use proper HDMI/3.5 jack/RJ45 wall plates, but technology changes so fast these days it's safer just leaving a cable run. Profile rails are 3900 long and run continuous through the carcases. The carcase gable ends are pre notched to accept them. Drawer packs have two notches. There are two different types of rail. A single rail for the top and a double rail for the drawer packs. The Crown ordering system selects the correct carcase end pairs for you although the towers take a little more working out. Tower ends are full depth ABS edged or recessed depth to accept the vertical profiles. They only come in pairs though so you need to calculate how many you need of each and order enough to swap them about if you need to...if that makes sense. Once you've done a few of these they become a lot easier. (06-06-2015, 02:16 PM)Colour Republic Wrote: There's got to be a BUT , although to be fair it's nothing with the kitchen. To be fair, that element of the kitchen was done by the customer after we'd finished back in March. We went back yesterday to do a door remedial which had a manufacturing blemish on it, which is when I took the pics... PS, I know you didn't ask, but the renders were done in NexusCad, which doesn't come anywhere near the capabilities of it's expensive competitors but with a little tweaking and know how, it's quite easy to get good visuals....well I think so anyway! RE: A recent one of ours - PREM - 06-06-2015 Nice fit Stretch CL although Paul's hide and seek needs a little work I have to price up one of these handle less from the crown range, is the online ordering easier? Will it suggest items if missed? My cust wants the rail lit up is it possible? Is the other towers the reverse of what is shown ie. freezer and another wire pull out? Personally I would have put the bread on the chopping board, but that's just me It probably only a matter of time before they update their rendering engine. Most other seem to be catching up this year. Past that it's the users skill to how good it looks. Will it suggest items if missed? Can't answer that as I don't order direct, I do it through my suppliers...I give him a list, he does it for me!! Paul might know though.... What we tend to do with the handless is to pull the cabs forward so that there is only 20mm overhang. This leaves the worktop flush with the fascias and means less of a gap to get your fingers under to open doors, top drawers, etc. If you intend to use S/A led strip tape then this should leave you ample space to stick the stuff on. PREM Wrote:Is the other towers the reverse of what is shown ie. freezer and another wire pull out? No. It's perfectly symmetrical but on the left hand side it's just a 600 tower to house the boiler and a standard 500 larder with shelves etc for Hoover, ironing board etc. RE: A recent one of ours - jonny round boy - 06-06-2015 (06-06-2015, 05:35 PM)PREM Wrote: Paul's hide and seek needs a little work That was my very first thought on seeing the pictures Nice job Stretch (although I'm sure CL did most of the hard work ). Any tips on Nexuscad stretch? I really like the program to use, then you look at some of the CAD renders on here and it makes mine done on Nexus look very basic. RE: A recent one of ours - Claydon Lad - 07-06-2015 Prem - as for ordering, I haven't used the online system, but go thro the order with the local rep. He has come out on site before, just to go thro the list of stuff, so very useful. When it comes to the handleless stuff, it really getting the profile rails right, together with the tall end panels in what pairs are needed. The only thing that bothers me is those stupid bloody 'drawer profile end caps' ! How crown justify the cost of those is absolutely ridiculous. That's top of the list, next time I see someone high up at Daventry! So if you have any drawers next to highline units, frame the drawers with a couple of 18mm fillers or cornice. - if you've got the room. JRB - well there was a fair amount of making tea in this one ! .....except the cold can in the fridge at the end of the day As for the hide and seek bit - I'm sure I was accessing the wifi code This was a really nice fit though. Seemed to just be endless at the time, but very rewarding to look at the results now. |
