Kitchen suppliers - Chipster - 11-03-2015

Hi everyone, It's my first post as new to the forum. I'm a kitchen fitter based in North Wales and have been fitting for the last 12 years or so. I've always used Howdens and during the last 12 months Benchmarx when I've been asked to supply and install a kitchen but I'm finding it difficult to compete with the retail outlets on price. Benchmarx are pretty competitive but I find there is very little, if any margin to add to their price and remain cheap enough to get the job. Are there any other manufacturers out there that will supply to fitters who do not have a showroom. I get plenty of work either fitting for a couple of local showroom suppliers as well as general public customers who purchase their own kitchen's but ideally I would prefer to be able to offer the whole package to allow me to be in more control.
I want to be able to supply decent quality stuff for a reasonable price. I use either Plasman or IDS for worktops and their prices are fine it's just the units/doors that I need to source from somewhere else.
I'm sure there must be plenty of you on this forum that supply as well as install and I would be grateful for some advice please.

Welcome to the forum chipsterThumbUp

You must have a local cabinet manufacturer near you for your carcauses. Then get some reps down to you from door suppliers, TKC, Trade mouldings, east coast fittings, pws. You will be able to source a better quality product that the sheds are offering. With a better margin for yourself.

Thanks for the reply, I have tried this way, by using a local cheap cabinet supplier but the quality wasn't good. The doors were sourced from PWS but again the gloss doors were not great and I had to replace 3 within the first month due to dents which had only had light use as I know the customer well. This made me think that the gear that the sheds are offering might be pretty good in comparison, but I have only tried this one supplier. Is this something you offer to your customers, if so which door supplier would you say provided the best product?
I will give others a chance and try to find a better cabinet supplier.
Thanks for the advice.

Surprised the PWS doors were poor, they are usually ok, you may have been unlucky with them.
I have been using all of the above the last few year, Tkc for the last few. Did try Mac in manchester they sent me a few sample doors all of which went in to the skip, the quality was poor. You could try Crown they do the complete kitchen, good quality.
