Announcement: New Job - jonny round boy - 26-07-2008 I've been in the kitchen design/manufacturing/installation business for around 8 years now, and as some of you know I've been self employed as a kitchen fitter for the last 2 years. Recently I was lucky enough to be approached by a German manufacturer of laminate and solid surface worktops, Westag & Getalit AG (Laminates/Elements Division). So as of last week, I am Westag's 'Technical Representative for UK & Ireland'. This means that I will be travelling the UK & Ireland, demonstrating the installation & finishing techniques for Westag's solid surface offering, GetaCore, to fitters and other end users of the product, as well as being the point of contact for any technical queries or issues with both 'GetaCore' and the 'GetaLit' range of laminate products. GetaCore worktops are now being offered by Howdens, and there will very shortly be a series of training sessions at Howden's branches for fitters (such as your good selves!) to come & not only see a demonstration, but also to get hands-on & use the products yourselves. Hopefully, I will see some of you there! RE: Announcement: New Job - Stretch - 26-07-2008 Nice one Jonny Cheers! I assume this is a career move upwards and not sideways! If you find yourself at either High Wycombe or Aylesbury branches, ping me a PM and I'll see ya there! RE: Announcement: New Job - jonny round boy - 26-07-2008 Yes, definitely upwards! I'm sure I'll be near you at some point - I've got all 450 branches to get around over the coming months RE: Announcement: New Job - Stretch - 26-07-2008 Oh well, the upside is that you won't have to graft so hard but the downside is you'll get piles with all that driving! RE: Announcement: New Job - Majjie - 28-07-2008 Congratulations Jonny Although, you won't see me at a training session, of course! RE: Announcement: New Job - jonny round boy - 29-07-2008 Majjie Wrote:Congratulations Jonny Why not? They're just as relevant for designers as for fitters - designers need to know the properties, uses & versatility of the product, too!!! RE: Announcement: New Job - Majjie - 30-07-2008 Well yes ... I suppose that's true. OK then ... let me know when you come to Nottingham! RE: Announcement: New Job - chip off the block - 30-07-2008 me too as my local is nottingham RE: Announcement: New Job - jonny round boy - 01-08-2008 Majjie Wrote:Well yes ... I suppose that's true. 21st of August, I think! I'll check, and get back to you with more details... |
