Oak Natural Grain Match - Evokit - 16-11-2014

Just had this one back after an 6/7mnth wait for photos.
A more natural grain match in oak with oak veneer handle rail and some bespoke sized doors.
Lunastone 'stone' quartz.
Island has dummy drawer fronts on the sides.
Franke Galaxy slim ceiling extractor.
The photos are off the customers phone ThumbDown .
Some are not great quality.
(disappointed due to the wait but I was promised real camera pics in a few weeks)
This kitchen was a supply only and the fitter has done a fab job (so its not me in the photos) but.......... despite many phone calls and emails to the fitter I can still see the mistake, I asked him to change, can you? (there is only 1)

Really nice! ThumbUp

The filler between the oven hsg and the midi cupboard looks a little odd. I guess that should have been pulled forward flush with the doors?

Other than that I can't see anything (though to be fair most of it is out of focus!).

Agreed aluminium channel between oven and
end panel. Love the kitchen .

It couldn't be pulled forward JRB......otherwise, you wouldn't be able to open the door on the midi unit....!!!!! That handle is supposed to be recessed in, it sits back the same distance as the horizontal handle recess between the drawer fronts.

The only thing I have spotted so far is, in the pictures of the ceiling you can see that it is out of level, there appears to be a large sag in it in the middle of the room.

Is it that the fitter is using a Howdens metal screwcase rather than a systainer to store his screws! String him up!

RE: Oak Natural Grain Match - snezza - 16-11-2014

Evokit,

Did you ask the fitter to change the under cabinet lights from Halogen to LED to match the ceiling lights.....????? The colour does look a bit off between the two.

MAYBE, the other thing that springs to my mind are the 4 corner posts on the Island. The reason I say MAYBE, is because some kitchen suppliers offer the corner posts to match the drawerline, so that the drawerline flows around each corner. I know its not available from everyone, so not a criticism in any way.

Snezza.

JRB - Hence why im a little annoyed about the photos, wait ages and all that....
he will take some when back from his work trip
DAH - The channel is is veneer and as Snezza has stated the rail is set back to open the door.
Snezza - not sure on the snag on the ceiling, somthing i have not noticed.

The mishap is on the island and has annoyed me alot due to the type of kitchen Sick30h

RE: Oak Natural Grain Match - snezza - 16-11-2014

Has he put a couple of the corner posts in the wrong place.....therefore, the grain no longer matches? Doh

RE: Oak Natural Grain Match - Evokit - 16-11-2014

Snezza - The corner posts could have been done that way,yet would have had to been 8 rather than 4 and alot of messing for the fitter. The handle rails are a bugger to cut sometimes even with the external corners. The post was more a seperate on the design.
The mistake is the actual grain match not matching ( i know the photo quality dont help)

The kiitchen is in herts if anyone fancies poping round to change them for me (paid of course) ThumbUp
