Hi all!! - RyanRoberts22 - 29-09-2013

Hi everyone! Had a bit of bother getting registered, been trying for a couple of weeks but wasnt receiving a verification e-mail but finally managed! Lol
Been a kitchen fitter for 7 years now and have recently gone it alone, been doing ok but have been offered my old job back and im considering it simply for the fact that its a guaranteed wage every week and i like knowing exactly how much im earning. Will post some photos of my work soon on the kitchens thread. Ryan

Welcome Ryan, if you go back make sure the pay is well worth it. We all have thoughts of ....... Going paye and the no pressure and no evening appointments.

What are your instincts telling you?

RE: Hi all!! - RyanRoberts22 - 29-09-2013

So who do you guys do work for? Or is it mainly private work?
Ive been doing private jobs and work for a small local company but my old job i worked in a team of 6 fitters and they have the contract fitting all the showrooms nationwide for 'wren kitchens' reallly good work fitting in a shop other than domestic fits, its all indoors so dont have to worry about cutting everything in someones garden in the p***ing rain and dont need to worry about unreasonable customers etc

Hi prem... The money is excellent, the reason i left was because i was fed up being away from home and staying in digs all the time but my mrs and i have just got our first house together so the good and steady income is appealling

Wren's expansion rate is unreal ..... I was speaking to someone around 3-4 years ago who told me their main aim was to put Magnet out of business !!

Welcome by the way ThumbUp

Yeah their massive and still growing rapidly, same crowd that were behind hygena and MFI, im told that they pay their fitters (domestic fitters) very poorly and therefor cant get any decent fitters, inbetween showroom fits, we are kept busy putting alot of jobs right that have went horribly wrong, seen some shocking workmanship but as the saying goes "if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys"

Yeah the guy made a small fortune with Hygena in the US making the money he is investing in Wren look like small fry.

Can't believe all the big boys seem to get the fitting process so wrong.

Never mind, makes it easier for us ..... and by the looks of it you in more work !!
