Update 1 - Cliff1970 - 13-06-2013

ThumbUp Hi to all,

Life continues to get madder, and definitely fun. So much has gone on the last few weeks. My 9 year old neice and her entire year at school (120 of them!) skyped me as part of their project on inventors. Ended up with all their teachers and head principle. Was really quite surreal. Each class took it in turns to have someone ask a question and so i got off light - having 3D printed protypes like in Jurassic pk 3 helped to impress and i'm on the top uncle list!

The KBB exhibition co-incided with the burglary and so having prepped loads i only made it there 1 day, but brilliant reception. The Blum guys really liked it, got loads of interest and got talking with FIRA and they've accepted my application for an innovation award, fingers crossed. Got some great feedback and some great leads. Aswell as UK contract interest i've had enquiries from Belgium and Ireland. All very exciting stuff.

It also looks like i have my first proper distributor too, which is fantastic news. Not going to say too much yet, but stock is underway! Best news yet! Just to show you the highs and lows i hadn't even driven home to tell the news and i discover there is let down with my tooling and it might have to be flown back to China! Four tons by air! Not cheap. So we then had to put the order on hold and culminate a plan. I'm very happy i think we now have one, teething problems are being resolved and we're going to make nice big buffer stocks once they are to make sure we don't upset anyone with broken supplys, and that way don't have to fly off for another couple of months Phew and now - we're in business for sure! Big Grin

Sales continue to grow, so many thanks to you guys on here that have bought and shared the idea. i'm starting to get more and more people through and i haven't even started marketing it properly yet as i want our tool settled into production first, ideally.

We've got a big photo-shoot next week with Claydon Lad and perhaps a certain forum host with the most! We'll get some really nice shots of how good the Space-Plugs look whilst awaiting the worktops! plus sneek an insight into the big kahuna burgers work! Wave30h

Things have been going so well i've decided to splash out on a new fleet vehicle. Top of the line, no expense spared, that's the reason you go for the big bucks right? Air Con, Sexy black, ........4 wheels, runs.....you can see where this going.......w reg ford focus £580 bargain ROFL30h

It'll get me there, while i save for the Veron! Back soon I hope to announce where you can now buy Space-Plug and the verdict from the photo-shoot. Feel free to reply on here guys Cheers

It would have cost more than the tools cost Shocked Fortunately they weren't asking for cash from me. But its the supply chain. I've got enough to keep covering the internet sales but I can't be selling to any of the contractors to get them out there in volume til we're happy with these tools, now at 18 months not earning and counting Doh Smoke

Each of these is for the different size plugs.

The big bit sticking up is some kind of gearing ram, that turns one cog which in turn turns 4 others which unwind the cores out of the females!
All clever stuff - when it works, but I think we're 98% there Phew
