Gone Golfing! - WildFred - 09-05-2013

Hello everyone,
I am now retired but not too old to remember what it's like to do the jobs you lads (and lasses) are doing now! Golf is my new pastime but I still love the kitchen and bedroom game and can still "talk" a good game of these jobs. Hence my interest in this forum, you never know I may be able to help or answer the odd question?
I ran a small family firm in Chesterfield producing purpose-made kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, offices and anything else that came along and paid money! Why not it kept us busy and the wolf from the door!

Welcome FredThumbUp

Is retiring a good thing for you? Alot of hands on workers dont like it, or are you living the dream.

Hi Prem,
Retirement suits me fine! I can get out of bed when I want, then make the crucial decision.....is the weather ok for golf! or whatever!
Tell you what - I do miss the job and the reason to get out of bed every morning. Yes my hands still work if I need to. Do not miss the miserable, awkward customers but miss the majority of good ones. Job satisfaction is the key factor.
Enjoy your work as long as you can, keep taking the tablets and Good Luck!!
Fred

Ha ha ha. Fred is my dad and he's helping me on next weeks fit Happy he's a very respected fellow in the trade and it still surprises me how many ppl know him and he knows. My current neff rep has known him for years which helps a lot if you know what I mean Big Grin

Would be a good idea to get a meet arranged. It would have to be somewhere in the centre of the country. I'm sure Fred will know of a course with a good bar in it for the non players ROFL30h
