Just finished - PJK - 08-03-2012 Hi, This has to be the most extreme door and Worktop change I've ever done, and I've done a lot! Didn't take many before pics but here's a few I took to remind me of things after I'd left my first visit for tech reasons. ![]() ![]() ![]() Half way through ![]() The doors are/were raw MDF from The Cupboard Door Company, they do made to measure doors in raw, primed or full paint finish MDF to made to measure sizes. Great company to deal with and they really know what there doing. Chris there is top guy and do recommend them to use. As you can see I would say 70% of the exg units came out, moved and refitted (real pain) They wanted higher wall units but didn't want the expense to replace all the wall units so I made little top boxes to fit on top of the exg wall units. Granite was by premier marble and granite. Great lads and fantastic job. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Just finished - PJK - 08-03-2012 ![]() Stainless steel plinth!!!! ![]() Not sur how they'll last but was customers request. ![]() This is the boiler cupboard, the doors are pulled forward 25mm from the frame to allow an air gap as they didn't want vents I the doors ![]() ![]() As always thoughts and Clints appreciated PJ RE: Just finished - PREM - 09-03-2012 PJ does that glass go around the window? for a cust who was watching the ££ they spent a lot there. nice job, like the uniform lines. Q; where is the cooker control switch? RE: Just finished - PJK - 09-03-2012 PREM Wrote:PJ does that glass go around the window? I know it's not to regs but there are now 2 only 1 before running ceramic hob and double oven! 1 in each wall unit either side of the extractor. The walls are tiled with 600x600 tiles with a 1mm grout line to give the perseption it's full sheets (the customer will be happy you thought it was glass as it was the effect they were after) Thanks, I thought it turned out well. There was that stomach dropping moment half way through were I wondered if this was all going to go back ok ![]() RE: Just finished - owen - 09-03-2012 there's some cash spent there, and they didn't want the expense of changing a handful of wall units? Seems odd to me, can't have been much more than making up top boxes for tops of existing units. RE: Just finished - owen - 09-03-2012 Nice job by the way ![]() RE: Just finished - PJK - 09-03-2012 Oh and yes tiled into window RE: Just finished - PJK - 09-03-2012 owen Wrote:there's some cash spent there, and they didn't want the expense of changing a handful of wall units? Very true Owen but it was a case of where do you stop if you start changing all the wall units you may as well change the base units etc the base units had a lot of work done to them too. As always with door replacements it would have been easier it bin the lot and start from new but it's not what they wanted. She really loves the top boxes though as they are all in one piece where possible so for instance the top box the left hand side of the window is 1300mm long to store long items. RE: Just finished - PJK - 09-03-2012 Just found some mid way through shots on my phone ![]() ![]() ![]() |
