My own kitchen - drunkenrockmonkey - 31-01-2010

Just about to start fitting my own kitchen this week after a month of demolition and repairs.
Have taken out load bearing wall to dining room and installed an new set of custom made French doors.
Just waiting for the some plaster to dry and will get on with the units on Tuesday so some photos to follow the end of the week.

Yeah the RSJ was a tad on the big side but it was the smallest the Architect could get away with.

Going for a Sigma 3 kitchen. Never used them before but they look good and the unit's are well put together and on the heavy side.
Have Gloss Ivory cabinets with Egger 60 mm sandstone coloured laminate and I'm making up panels to go either side of the chimney breast which will have a Gazco hole in the wall fire.

should be spot on by the time I'm finished and all ready have a couple of possible Clints wanting to have a look at it so better get my arse in gear.

Here are the photos of the now finished kitchen.
Cabinets are Sigma 3 with 22 mm boss handles.
Worktops Egger Eurolight 60 mm with matching laminate panels to either side of the chimney.
Howdens solid oak flooring
Gazco Studio 2 fire.

Very nice!

Just one minor suggestion - if it were mine, I'd lower the radiator and shorten & straighten the copper tails. It's too high off the floor, and the wonky pipework looks awful.

Are you putting an extractor over the hob, or leaving it as is?

Very nice DM.
Lights either side of the fireplace give a nice effect. Bet you're glad it it's all done now.
