Looking good..

RE: In Progress - marc1106 - 07-05-2009

hi neil its gonna look great ! ThumbUp

But i think it a bit adventurous to get an island in there! doesnt look like theyl be much travel room round it once you open a drawer!? or is it just an optical illusion? Arrgh

PS will the gas hob upset the working of the wine chiller (heat and all that)?

marc1106 Wrote:PS will the gas hob upset the working of the wine chiller (heat and all that)?

Fridges (and wine coolers) need ambient heat in order to function properly. Obviously too much heat wouldn't be good, but heat rises, and if the underside of the hob is getting hot enough to be an issue, then warm wine would be the least of your problems...

PS, I agree on the 'looking good!' part! What timber are you using for the worktops?

PPS - in the last pic the clock shows ten to eight - was that an early start, or a late finish? Battered

RE: In Progress - M Howe Joinery - 07-05-2009

is that the famous waste diposal unit Th_ROFLMAO

RE: In Progress - nskitchenfitting - 07-05-2009

It was the "famous wast disposal unit", gt the parts on tues.. all happy now.

The island is a bit too close to the wall for my liking but as they say "the customers gets"

the pic makes it look worse than it is though. The worktops are now in too.. oak

and it was an early start, btw anyone think they could do with a bigger clock Th_ROFLMAO

RE: In Progress - Colour Republic - 08-05-2009

It is starting to look good, although they had quite a bit of work surface before and it might be a shock for them when they start to use the new one. Design looks great, just maybe the rooms on the small side for it. But as you say if that's what they want, that's what they get

BTW who is the kitchen made by?

I did raise the work space with the customer prior to agreement, they knew that it would be reduced but didn't mind.. so thats what they got...

The room does look a bit on the small side in the pics, but actuallt works quite well in situ.

The kitchen carcases were made by a local company I now use, This one is my 5th kitchen from them and have anothe 8 on order.. really pleased with the quality, cost and service too. The frontals are all from pws.

Spalsh back due to be tiled this week, the decorated.. will post final pics once complete.

RE: In Progress - Tw Installations - 08-05-2009

Looking good neil,

It wasn't the worst before pic to show either as the before kitchen looked quite ok, ( appart from handles )

Looks like it will be impressive with the island
Good work
