Exciting times ahead for KFF!! - Stretch - 27-04-2009

Ok lads..........

When I started this forum 18 months ago I had no idea where it would go or even if it would survive. Due to a lot of help from a few individuals in respect of forum layout, features, installed software and Google rankings it has gone far beyond where I expected it to go.

I've also done a bit of work on it myself but without the input from the regulars we would never be where we are now.

Also, with quite a lot of help from Dave, :appl: we are starting to get a few more sponsors on board. We've got one coming on soon with some top prizes!

In the near future, the forum is going to get a facelift - a new theme designed to replace this brown one. It worked well at the time but the colour scheme just feels wrong now. I'm going to do a bit of rejigging of the forum orders and prune a few of the posts. These will be archived but still available to view - perhaps create a section for memorable threads!!

All this comes at a price though...........

As we are getting sponsors on board I will have to insist that we don't swear on the forum as many of them won't want to be associated with that. But I've always said we should be treated like adults here so I'll be creating a new section, a sort of "Pub" where you'll be free to use the sweary chat if it's appropriate. All of the regulars and long term members will get automatic access - newbies will need to apply!

Hope this all sounds good to you - all we need is a name for The Pub. I'm open to suggestions - post your replies on this thread. And, as always, a Tokens boost for the best name!!

The judges decision will be final, no correspondence will be entered into and no getting upset and going crying to your mum if I didn't pick your idea for a name!

Hello all..........

Ok you've probably noticed things have been moving around here a bit.
I'm just doing a bit of tidying up before the new layout is installed.

The Pub thing that I talked about has been called "The Back Door" for the time being until I find one I really like. The ones we've had so far have been good but nothing has really grabbed me yet so still open to suggestions..........

The Back Door is in the Registered Members forum. If you can't see it, it could be that I've overlooked you. I have to go through each member individually and alter their permissions so if you need to get in there just PM me.

The Back Door is the only place we can swear now chaps if you can try and remember that. It's not about heavy moderation it's just trying to promote a clean forum that sponsors will happily take on.

I'm not gonna tell you off if you do forget, I'll just move the post into that section. I've always said I'm not bothered by swearing where appropriate.

ThumbUp
