Hi Snezza, I think it looks great! The fit of it looks bloody spot on!

I quite like the mix of black and white, I don't think it's too in your face, you don't have appear to have gone too over the top with mixing the colours. The corian is a good match for those units, I imagine that's a colour that can scratch quite easy though as its dark? Or is it veined enough to disguise minor scuffs etc? Like CR said, can't see the join in the island without zooming in a fair bit ThumbUp

I think I would have wanted to put an end panel either side of the oven housing, I always plan to clad either side of tall unit runs with panels, as I like the look of framing it in slightly that it gives. However I do note that you have had put an end panel on, it would have been black, and would have darkened that area down, compared to the white carcass side that's visible now. I'm rambling a bit.... it looks bloody marvelous mate!ThumbUpThumbUp

Cheers Joe..!!! Cheers

My own personal opinion is, I would have preferred to have had the integral showside of the oven housing in the Matt Black as well, but there were concerns about that area being too dark, as you said. I did think when doing the fitting of the cabinets that perhaps the base corner post could/should possibly have been in the black, but now its finished I think the white was a better option, and the client agrees!!!

All the base units, panels etc in the utility room are in the black finish. I will see if I can find a photo of it & post it up.

ALL the showsides are Matt lacquered either Black or White, they are not MFC finish...!

As you can see from the photos, the pattern of the Corian is quite "busy", so although the colour is quite dark, it doesn't tend to show any scratches.

Stunning job as usual mate.

No buts from me either!

Here's a few pics of the Utility room.

Its not quite finished yet as the guy laying the Karndean was short by 1 square mtr, where the American Fri/Freezer is going to stand. The right -hand pair of base unit doors are just there just to hide the freestanding W/M.

Thanks Snezza

Yes - Mistral is 25mm solid surface

Also agree on the darker colours showing scratches up more

Also agree that Corian is much more well known!

Thanks again

Steve

I think "Stetsia" in Latvian, when translated into English means "Tall, Lanky, Cocky Wanna Be Drum Player".....TongueWiggle

If I'm wrong, then it looks as though I'm going on a measure up in Riga.....Doh

Nice place Riga Snezza, you could do worse and accommodation is dirt cheap!

Was there for a stag do earlier this year, most of my pals opted for a £7 a night back packers hostel (the stag was from Wigan, what can I say) Me on the other hand opted for a Royal suite set over 2 floors for £120 a night just round the corner. At about 5 am on the second night their hostel burnt down and I suddenly had these damn squatters littering my Drawing Room. The receptionist face was a picture as I led 10 extremely hungover lads with all their luggage past herLOL Wasn't so funny when I woke up in the morning to find my mini bar ransacked. B*****ds!
