Thanks Mitch.  ThumbUp The Island bulkhead was plastered this morning and I have fitted all the Island units today.

I checked on site this morning. The alloy trims are from the company I put a link to last night.

I think i still have the wrapping/packaging that the trims came in, so can see if I can get the details of the supplier/manufacturer for you when I'm back on site tomorrow.

One thing the Client told me was,........it aint cheap!!!! It is actually really easy to bend out of shape.

Edit. From reading the information on this website, I think this may be the stuff.....

The 2 sizes I used were E50mm and E75mm.

I hope this helps.

Snezza.
Thanks for this Snezza, Useful profiles and not too pricey at £6.50 for the E25, 3m length which will just about suit the tall banks.

I had thought I'd just about managed to hang up my trowel though!!

Nice work by the way.

Nice install, it's good to see your progress pictures, I'm useless at remembering to take these type of shots.

Thanks for the info re the trims, a great solution especially for the island where lighting is being used above.

Island cabinets and panels in position with plastered Bulkhead above and the Utility Room cabinets in position through the door to the left. Same type of door as the kitchen, but in the lighter colour.

Cracking Tim

What's the hole in the studwork to the left of the tall units going to be for?

Your timber work for boxing in all those larder units looks really neat - what size timber do you use for it?

Cheers

RE: German Kitchen with Boxing and Island Bulkhead. - snezza - 01-08-2018

The studwork timber around the tall bank of units was 44mm x 44mm CLS.
It didn't need to be any bigger as it's not holding any weight other than itself and is supported by the units themselves.

The elongated hole is actually a recessed plaster light fitting. There are a number of the same fittings set at the same height all around the various rooms at ground level. The plaster fitting is about 200mm wide x 750mm high, but by the time it's all plastered in, filled, sanded down and painted, the recess you can see is about 80mm wide x 500mm high. I suppose you could call it Ambient or Mood Lighting....!
