Thanks for the feedback. I posted a request on this forum as my usual kitchen fitter / joiner is unavailable due to health reasons. As a developer, I know that good tradesmen are busy but, I would have hoped to find a professional who can plan this job into their shedule?

Most of us visit this forum to exchange advice and have a bit of banter.
Very few, if any of us, are looking for work and it is possible that we might not want to take on a worktop change if we are already stacked out with work - which most of us are.
The percentage of fitters on this forum in your area is very small so the fact that no one has offered is that they are too busy, or don't want the job.
You might have more luck searching locally.
