RE: Anthracite Silk J Profile Kitchen - Trickie - 01-02-2016

I've fitted a few Matt White handless kitchens recently. They look great but they mark so easily and can be tricky to clean. Even with the cleaning wipes I use it can take a bit of elbow grease. Kiddies grubby fingers could be a problem....

I think it depends on the door finish ..... I think the Matt White lacquered door my supplier has are pretty much the easiest door to keep clean and maintain, whereas the Matt laminate beige door we also have in the showroom is a complete nightmare !!

Looks a good overall finish mate...!  ThumbUp

Not quite but about 5mm past the door. There are end panels either side of the run so wanted the worktops to just poke past those so the transition was slightly nicer.

The wall unit to the LH of the sink...It has no cloaking end panels...any reason??.... it's hiding a boiler I take it??

Yep a boiler in that cupboard, hence why it's lower than the other side. I did think about going for a dresser unit but in a kitchen that has limited worksurface because of the chimney I didn't want to take anymore away. Yopu may notice that that side of the kitchen is deeper to at around 750mm, partly because of the pipework and I had a washing machine under the boiler but again to give added worksurface.

Yes there is a reason why it hasn't got end panels, a very good reason.

It was a pretty good fit. the R/H side has 25ish mm fillers and the L/H side just has 18mm end panels planted. If fact that space got about 40mm wider after the builder had ripped down the old D&D plasterboard and re-boarded, so end panels where introduced either side of the oven and extractor where as before the end panels were going to be just on the lower part of wall units either side of the extractor.

I did make the wall units deeper at 370mm so they would sit near flush with the chimney breast giving a slightly cleaner line than if they were recessed.

Doors are Anthracite - TKC Moda

Wall cabinets are Egger Anthracite but the base units are Egger light grey, as didn't want to make them too dark when opened. Especially the sink unit as it was extra deep.

I've just done a few kitchens with tkc moda doors.

For sure matt is the trend at the mo
