This was the thread I've been looking for the last half an hour, only found it because I remember people going on about the finger prints!!


Was wondering how the quartz was held in place, I know you can drill in to the floor and insert rods or in this case tiling around. but have one i'm designing which has a suspended floor and I've not done this in quartz before, its normally always corian I do it.

So any ideas? I suspect I coulds get them to glue it with Akemi which is bloody strong but maybe not stong enough. Clints have young kids so want to make sure it's as solid as possible. Sure my stone guys would have some idea but wanted ome clue before I go specing it.

BTW reading back i'm gonna take a wide guess and say they used 2 x 20mm slabs glued so they didn't have to repolish the rear side of the quartz?
