hi all,
been fitting kitchens for 26yrs now since leaving school in the manchester/oldham area,have worked for many companys over the years,ie bernstein group plc,space,kitchens direct,b&q currently contracting for ramsbottom kitchens for the last ten years fitting sheraton kitchens and mainly neff appliances.great site by the way.

Welcome to a great forum mate. Might start a club for the members here that have been fitting kitchens over 25 years lol we need all the help we can nowadays "erm now what have I come to my van for"

I have that problem at 32 Jon, but im still young enough that i can just walk slower and remember before i actually get there lol.

haha yes im 42 now and now use the help of my nephew to carry miele washing machines(boy there heavy) and stripping american f/f to get them through the doors of a terraced house.
not worked for vm,s firm but i have fitted a couple of there kitchens in the past,nightmare to say the least bad designing and shortages galore that i ended up collecting personally i know stay clear of the so called solid erm wood kitchen lol

You started fitting the same year as me mate Smile straight from school, I'm 41. Left school when I was 15

same here i used to wag school to go fitting with my uncle,£10 a day in 1985 was better than maths, in the days before a makita cordless,had a few blisters off them yankee screwdrivers.

I had a cordless makita when I first started, the old pistol grip type. We must have been posher Smile don't think I'd have stuck at the job without it
